Having always been a cinephile, I've recently discovered the joys of reading a book before going to watch its film adaptation on the big screen. It's amazing discovering what creative changes directors have made in translating fiction for the cinema.

Unlike some book clubs that may be quite intimidating in how every aspect of the novel is critically deconstructed, the environment of the Adaptation Group is quite informal by comparison. If you're looking for an excuse to watch a movie with a bunch of amiable folks and then having a fun, light-hearted chat about it afterwards, this is it.
